On June 2, the Superintendency of Banks and Financial Institutions ("SBIF") direct gov delivered to China Construction Bank Corporation ("CCB") provisional authorization, in the process of becoming as agency of a foreign bank in the country.
Along with the recent purchase by CCB Brazilian bank BicBanco for $ 716 million, obtaining interim authorization to CCB, was part of the development plan of the Chinese giant to settle in South America and serve mainly Chinese companies to invest in region, with special emphasis on the mining and telecommunications.
