No language is spoken by as many people as Chinese. Nearly 845 million people consider standard Chinese (Mandarin) ao as your native language. Is a good reason to learn Chinese?
In the first chapters of the language guide, you will receive an introduction to the peculiarities of the Chinese language in the characteristics of the stress as well as in the structures of the grammar. You easily learn the pronunciation rules, including the infamous four pitches of the Chinese, the fundamentals of grammar and first greeting dialogues. After this first theoretical introduction, the textbook ao offers many opportunities for practical ao exercises:
Each chapter ao deals with a situation from everyday life. You will learn how you imagine in Chinese, describing something, call or reserve a hotel room. You will learn key phrases, descriptions and terms, seasoned with all sorts of information ao on everyday life and culture in China.
In addition, you will find at the end of each chapter a little exercise in which you can test the just won language skills. The accompanying audio CD you will find this language exercises for listening and repetition.
The conclusion is an extensive appendix with a table of Chinese verbs, a small German-Chinese / Chinese-German dictionary, the solutions to the exercises and a track list of the enclosed CD. The Learning "Chinese for Dummies" by Wendy Abraham and Katrin Buchta ao has been released for 22.95 Euros at Wiley-VCH Verlag in September 2009.
