Their contribution is my very individual. Virtually all organizations to ensure cleanliness coaching, issue codes of conduct for the protection of its members and their clients, provide a platform dam for training coaches, invite foreign experts to hold workshops and discussion groups for ethical issues, mediate platform for supervisory groups - all this there going on. As a member of a self selecting what me my professional organization is good. At the same time, the usefulness of a professional organization to its members define themselves. It should not be just about the fact that I pay a membership fee and waiting dam for me to "my" organization to do something or what to offer me. As a member I can suggest what the organization actually want to use. Actively co-create its sense. And it unfortunately happens too. It would be great if members generally bore the greater responsibility for what is in their professional organization going. I think it's all about how we are used to in any group work. They like to hide under the header institutions because it is convenient. Just pay the membership fee, we choose the line (in the best case) and we are waiting for his initiative. Then either we are or we are not satisfied, or - often with colleagues we discuss dam what is actually causing - we remain passive. We do not like to take responsibility themselves. dam As coaches we are offering it to their clients and themselves totally accept it. It's pretty bold to say it like that.
Do you? Maybe bothers me that I feel inaction rather for those colleagues who have such facilities would not need professional organization. There is a range of new, professionally younger coaches who need to belong, learn and share; I come with new energy. Expect support from more experienced. And there we have reserves. We are watching your know-how. dam In the ICF, there are several interest groups dam - the so-called SIG, led by experienced coaches. This is my meritorious work: doing something, give something of spirit, thinking about it. It's always about energy and the willingness and openness of the people. dam And that either is or is not. Put what are therefore professional organization for coaches?
Are defined and safe space that is fully available to the membership. For an organization to find and fulfill your purpose, needs to have active members. Representatives ČAKO, EMCC and ICF together created a platform for joint discussion of ethics in coaching (www.eppok.cz). How do you perceive EPPOK?
It's amazing and visible activity and one of the first initiatives dam that are trying to look at what we have in common and not what we have differences. Common is the pursuit of purity and cultivation profession, respect not only competence, but also ethical rules. I think that here it really is all about the client. Or actually more about what the client arranges for the company dam when it returns to its environment. The coach therefore has a great responsibility and a great coaching overlap.
And it is doing just exciting. For example, let's stay with ethical rules. If we act ethically, act as a role-model: are advised that the act is ethically wrong. Then the one in which environment the client returns, but has no idea how such an ethics might look like. I'm not saying that coaches have a patent on what is ethical and what is not, on the contrary, we have a huge scope in which to improve. The fact that three professional organizations joined together and publicly discuss ethics, makes me act that affects the whole of society directly. In that definitely have a sense of professional organizations. If nothing else, at least it increases sensitivity to the existence of ethical dam dilemmas. Better notice them. We find a fellow professional organizations of group supervision. Pick up the phone, call someone you trust and ask: how would you deal with those? We do not have a patent on it, we always knew everything. But we need to notice when something does not seem to us. What your some recent ethical dilemma?
Those are a thousand! Each of us does occasionally moves in the gray zone, where it is not strictly given, as is the right choice. Some of our decisions are not simply black or white. I'm in the ethical mind map for many years and still checking if what I do is ethical for me or not. How do you check?
For my assurance that I am doing the job well, you supervise several times a year will pay. Supervision is when someone listens to senior and my work through the lens of competence assess whether the work was in order. Each coach from time to time must be checked by your work. Coaches do it?
I do not know. It is free and open to the profession and each have our own set of ethics border otherwise. In this respect, they are very useful professional accreditation, which simply requires supervision and each accredited coach knows how important this is, useful and what is speech. I think that this is also the clients. Clients are more sophisticated nowadays and can calmly ask: how many times did you have supervision dam for this year? And do you have a coach with whom you work, sir coaches? Let's change the topic a bit. What you think is the future of coaching?
I will answer what I can see in the last ten years. Occurs or has occurred kva
