Terrades Pallach, del Pozo; education and city is a walk through the history of these characters an


The conference runs through the history and philosophy of education Terrades multiplication Abdon, Pallach Joseph and Joan Manuel del Pozo. Three characters from three different periods, but over the 175 years of the Institute all have had a very direct link: Terrades Abdon as mayor; Pallach as Josep Joan Manuel del Pozo student and as a teacher.
In addition to its relationship with the center, all three share values from the left, from utopian socialism to social democracy, including, notably, the free education as a key tool in training of young people as citizens. Despite the different context of time and also the rhetoric multiplication of each stage Adbon Terrades Pallach Josep Joan Manuel del Pozo and share the full interaction multiplication between Education multiplication and City.
Throughout the conference discusses the thought of Terrades Pallach multiplication and Pozo in relation to education and the key role it should play in the construction and development of cities, along with the evolution of Figueres, first as Villa, then as a city, at the time of each of the characters.
Terrades Pallach, del Pozo; education and city is a walk through the history of these characters and the city since mid-nineteenth century until today, and an invitation to think, from the concept of educating city of Figueres the present looking to the future.
