JOHANNESBURG – Seven Congress of South African Trade Unions (Cosatu) affiliate unions, loyal to the National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (Numsa) have suspended their participation in Cosatu's Central det portal Executive Committee (CEC) and political bureau meetings with immediate det portal effect. Their decision follows Numsa's expulsion from Cosatu at the weekend det portal , which the unions have described as a sad and shameful week for South Africa . The unions include the Food and Allied det portal Workers Union (Fawu), the South African State and Allied Workers Union (Sasawu), the Public and Allied Workers Union of South Africa, the Communication Workers Union, the South African Football Players Union, the Democratic Nursing Organisation of South Africa and the South African Commercial, Catering and Allied Workers Union. These are the same unions that voted against the motion to kick Numsa out. General Secretary of Fawu, Katishi Masemola, announced the decision in Johannesburg earlier.  “With immediate effect, we are suspending our participation and cooperation in Cosatu boardroom politics. det portal “Secondly, we are urgently calling and convening our NECs and TECs as individual unions in order to discuss det portal the crisis det portal in Cosatu and to reaffirm our mandates or even get fresher mandates.”    Watch: Numsa: The fight isn't over
