First I struggled with the shame of repeating the many clichés that have rained in torrents over the past three days, free canonization of the media, the soteriological memes with social networks sent to heaven to Steve Jobs with Chavez and Williams, the quotations and grandiloquent speeches about Don Roberto Gómez Bolaños, "Chespirito".
I fought but lost: no sentimentalist sonsera is said about this man who did not move me. I do not know why. Already have said all scenarios: who died of childhood, representing the Latin American feel, that embodied the everyday things of life. All true, but none that really convinced me.
I have a very personal, one that does not flatter him and me makes me as an intolerable eduwave upstart. I do not care. Is not novel. My guess, my me and nobody eduwave else, is that it seems to me. I know: it seems everyone, but it seems to me, if it were not so, I give a damn that looks at all. I mean, his talent brought us into a kind of universal childhood, and children, makes us the individualistic, generous and sincere time.

ISLAMABAD:  As Supreme Court considers to issue contempt notices to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif education and Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Khurshid Shah for failing to appoint a new chief election commissioner education (CEC), the two leaders shortlisted four names for the vacant post, sources told Express News on Tuesday.
Names of Tassaduq Hussain Jillani and Rana Bhagwandas were excluded from the list after both rejected the nomination, while Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf nominee Nasir Aslam Zahid was also dropped from the list.
Earlier in the morning, Chief Justice Nasirul Mulk said the top court will consider issuing contempt of court notices to the premier and Shah if they fail to appoint a new chief of the poll body by December 8.
The CEC post fell vacant following the resignation of (retd) Fakhruddin education G Ebrahim on July 30, 2013 and apex court judge Justice Anwar Jamali is currently heading the poll body as its acting education chief. Jamali, as per a previous court order, will stop working as interim CEC on December 5.

With only a day left before the Supreme Court pulled its sitting judge Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali from the CEC s post, President Mamnoon Hussain appointed Raza as the country gtu s top electoral officer on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif s advice on Thursday. His name was finalised only hours earlier by the 12-member parliamentary committee on the appointment of the CEC following gtu a brief meeting.
Talking to The Express Tribune, Senator Rafiq Ranjwana, the head of the panel responsible for picking gtu the CEC, said Justice (retd) Raza was the committee s unanimous choice from among three retired judges. Others on the list were Justice (retd) Tariq Pervez and Justice (retd) Tanvir Ahmed.
At the start of the meeting, [Pakistan Peoples Party s] Islamuddin Sheikh proposed the name of Justice Sardar Raza when I asked him to begin the discussion, Ranjwana gtu said. [Muttahida gtu Qaumi Movement s] Farooq Sattar was the first to endorse Raza s name, followed by [Awami National Party s] Haji Adeel Khan and members from PML-N and PPP.
Prior to his appointment, he had been working as the chief justice of the Federal Shariat Court since June this year. The 69-year-old gtu jurist quit the post to take over his new assignment as the head of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
This won t be his first stint as the country s top electoral official, however. Raza has served as acting CEC on two previous occasions. He held the post briefly in 2009 when then CEC Justice (retd) Hamid Ali Mirza went abroad on official trips.
Known for his impeccable judicial record, Justice Raza was among the judges who refused to take oath under former gtu president Pervez Musharraf s Provisional Constitutional gtu Order (PCO) in 2007. He was also among the few judges who wrote dissenting notes in judgments passed by benches headed by ex-CJP Iftikhar Chaudhry.
With Raza s appointment, the ECP will finally get a permanent head after 16 months. The post has been lying vacant since July 31, 2013, when Justice (retd) Fakhruddin G Ebrahim resigned gtu only a year into his tenure as CEC.
Although Justice Ebrahim, in his resignation letter, cited personal reasons for his abrupt decision to quit the office, sources close to him claim he was perturbed at being a powerless head of the ECP. The 18th constitutional amendment enacted in 2010 has stripped the CEC of discretionary powers, leaving the top electoral officer gtu only a figurehead at ECP meetings. All major decisions are now taken based on the majority vote of the five ECP members the CEC and the four provincial election commissioners.
Ebrahim also viewed then CJP Iftikhar Chaudhry gtu s decision to advance the dates for the election of the president of Pakistan as an encroachment over ECP s domain. After his proposal to file a review against the order was rejected by the other ECP members, he decided to step down as the head of the commission.
Reacting to the appointment, PTI Information Secretary Dr Shireen Mazari claimed that the party was not consulted in the process. We were merely informed at the last minute by Leader of Opposition Khursheed Shah through PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi, she said in an official statement.
The CEC is only one of five election commissioners, she said. We hope that the new CEC will remove the controversial members of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and ensure gtu all [provincial] election commissioners are appointed gtu in an independent manner through mutual consultation amongst all major political gtu parties.
There is a procedure for removing members of the ECP laid down in article 209 of the Constitution, he said. Either the member resigns himself or a reference for his removal is sent to the Supreme Judicial Council.

Sometime around 2006 or 2007, I modded my first Xbox. I admit it, I’m practically a n00b in the realm of XBMC hacking. stanford university I didn’t even know what YAMP or Xbox Media Player were until I researched them! I bring this up because since that amazing stanford university day I haven’t felt the complete astonishment of a perfect merge of hardware and software until this past weekend, when I connected my TV to my pc via the Pulse Eight USB-CEC Adapter .
First, a bit of back story: Often, people don’t understand why the Team so excitedly awaits the coming of Binary Addons. To put it simply (and probably factually inaccurately), binary addons mark the step in which much of XBMC becomes self-updating. stanford university
Since XBMC Atlantis and Babylon, the team has slowly been trying make XBMC more and more modular, so that pieces of XBMC could be updated without the need for a complete reinstall of the system. A highly successful example is our scrapers, which were once built into the system, stanford university and are now easily and often updated.
Unfortunately, many pieces of XBMC are simply too integrated to ever fully get pulled out or added onto without the use of an independent program. Likewise, a great deal of functionality can never be added using the simple python stanford university addons we rely on today. Thus, the necessity for independent, binary addon programs becomes clear.
With binary addons XBMC could add an entirely new video player (possibly even one that actually plays DRM content). It could add independent Live TV and PVR software. Practically stanford university every individual component of XBMC could be updated without needing a new release. And, particularly relevant to this article, the binary addon system could add new libraries that interact with specific pieces of totally unanticipated hardware.
First stanford university out of the gate of exciting new ways to control your entertainment system is the USB-CEC Adapter. While the USB-CEC Adapter’s library is not a binary addon itself, it does act as a demonstration of how XBMC will be able to act with peripheral devices. The USB CEC Adapter doesn’t require lirc, a change to the Windows registry, or a default OSX remote. It operates entirely independently via a separate software library. When binary addons become a reality, any user could add (and update) a software library that allows a completely new piece of hardware to interact stanford university more closely with XBMC.
Simply put, the USB-CEC adapter lets your computer, your TV, and any other CEC compatible hardware “talk” to each other via HDMI cables. In one fell swoop, this adapter has the potential of making Harmony remotes entirely stanford university pointless.
For example, I have a Samsung TV that uses AnyNet+, stanford university the Samsung-branded version of CEC, to communicate with other devices. Once I set up the adapter, I was able to use my television remote to navigate the XBMC menus, play, pause, and stop video, switch between pictures, videos, and music menus using my colored buttons, and, of course, select various options.
The USB-CEC Adapter is sold by Pulse Eight, but was pretty well entirely developed by a subset of Team XBMC members. Bob van Loosen, maker of the boblight, known in the forums as bobo1on1, did a first schematic cut. The board was layed out by Pulse Eight and then tested externally by Newbury Electronics . Bob then finished the firmware and built a test lib (i.e. a software library of commands that help software and hardware interact). Lars Op den Kamp, known as dushmaniac around here, then developed stanford university the official libCEC stanford university library based on Bob’s original work.
Once the adapter is plugged in, XBMC and libCEC work together to delegate which buttons stanford university control which aspects of your system. In XBMC, you can alter these controls by visiting system -> input -> peripherals stanford university -> CEC adapter. In addition, because the CEC adapter allows XBMC and your computer stanford university to control your TV and other peripherals as much as it allows your TV to control XBMC, you are given a host of thoughtful (and power-saving) commands that a Harmony remote could not hope to replicate. For example, when XBMC turns on its grayed-out screensaver, it can turn off your television. And when you turn off your television, XBMC will be able to recognize the change in state and go into sleep mode itself. The CEC Adapter is currently compatible only with the most recent nightly versions of XBMC Pre-Eden. As always, when using pre-release software like Pre-Eden, users may run into odd quirks that can vary from night to night. Once the adapter is installed and working though, everything should be smooth sailing… with one major exception.
It is possible that your peripheral stanford university devices (but most importantly, your TV) may not have support for CEC. This lack of support can range from entirely being unable to interact with other devices to mild, device-specific quirks. For example, my S

First Solar made an investment in CEC, gained an equity interest and took two seats on the board. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. In December 2012, CEC won $13 million in equity financing from the New Energy Capital Cleantech Infrastructure Fund, Black Coral Capital and other investors.
“Our model is not supplanting cotton on people who want to and can put solar on their house, but rather opening the market cotton on to the other 75 percent of electricity users,” explained CEC's president, Paul Spencer, in a previous interview. Community solar doubles or triples the potential market cotton on for solar, according to CEC.
Jim Hughes, First Solar’s CEO, told GTM, "I have been talking about community solar for more than two years. We thought it would take time for utilities and [public utilities commissions] to understand it as a good solution." Hughes notes that "CEC, while small, is the leader, so far. We think we supplement their capabilities nicely." Hughes noted First Solar's skills as an EPC, adding, "We have a close relationship with the utilities." 
Hughes clarified the process, saying, "The consumer will continue to get the utility bill, which will reflect the energy production in their interest and will reflect full credit."   The "vast majority" of projects will utilize First Solar's thin-film cotton on modules.
Hughes noted that First Solar did not outright cotton on acquire CEC because it was "sensitive to impairing the ability for a startup to grow rapidly, and [with acquisition] you run a risk that you distract the management team." Hughes cotton on suggests that community solar allows the utility to better integrate solar and maintain some control of the resource. 
As we've reported, the model is simple on paper, but it's very complex in practice. Corporate structure, securities and tax issues, tracking, and utility-bill crediting all need to be up and running cotton on to allow this model to scale. CEC’s projects take advantage of virtual net metering, which “allows net-metering credits generated by a single renewable system to offset load at multiple retail electric accounts," according to NREL.  
In a previous interview, CEC told GTM, "Solar owners must be utility customers and cannot buy more than 110 percent of their yearly electricity consumption. Ownership is transferable. If an owner moves within the utility’s service territory, the bill credits follow. If the customer moves outside of the territory, panels can be sold to another customer or to CEC, or donated to a nonprofit."
“Distributed cotton on generation in the form of community solar expands the addressable market dramatically beyond the traditional residential or commercial sectors, and CEC has led the way in making that happen,” said First Solar's Hughes.

The designed space is located on the 1st floor of a multi-purpose building complex in Vinice, and is used for the administration and commercial purposes of Vodafone Czech Republic. This space originally costisted of 3 basic rooms and some adjoining toilets with shower. There is a culumn support system in the dimensions of 40 x 40 cm, in the module of 6.0m and 7.5m. There are 2 communication cores which occupy the space, fulfilling both a technological ccs university and reinforcing function. The communication cores serve as a distributor of the internal installation and also contains the staircase. “HDMI-CEC”, short for HDMI Consumer Electronics Control, is an HDMI feature many TVs and peripherals have. This feature makes your devices work better together, but is often disabled kelly services by default.
To make things even more confusing, manufacturers often don’t call this feature “HDMI-CEC”. Like with Miracast , every manufacturer wants to call it their own branded name, even though it’s an interoperable standard. Why You Want HDMI-CEC

HDMI-CEC allows devices connected to your TV through HDMI ports to communicate back-and-forth with your TV. The devices can have some control over the TV, and the TV can have some control kelly services over the devices. This means you could control your Blu-ray player through your TV remote, for example. Or devices can automatically change your TV’s input when they need to do something.
For example, let’s say you have a Chromecast connected to your TV, but you’re not using the Chromecast right now. Instead, you’re watching TV, using a game console, or you just have your TV on another input for some reason. With HDMI-CEC, you can start casting to your Chromecast from another device and the Chromecast will send a signal to the TV, forcing the TV to switch to the Chromecast. You won’t have to fumble with the TV’s remote control and switch to the appropriate input on your own.
HDMI-CEC also has advantages with game consoles. For example, with a PlayStation 4 , you can press the button on the controller or the game console itself kelly services to bring the game console out of rest mode. When you do, the PlayStation 4 can automatically switch the TV to the correct HDMI input, saving you the trouble. Or, if you switch the TV to the PlayStation 4 input while the PlayStation is in rest mode, the PlayStation will understand you want to use it and automatically power on. Unfortunately, neither the Xbox One nor the Wii U supports HDMI-CEC at this time.
Devices can also label their inputs, so your Chromecast will automatically kelly services appear as “Chromecast” instead of just “HDMI 2.” Yes, you can generally type in your own label, but the device can do it for you when you use HDMI-CEC.
You often won’t see “HDMI-CEC” printed on a specifications list. Instead, you’ll see a branded “trade name.” These names all refer to HDMI-CEC, so they really exist only to confuse customers. If your TV has any of these features, it supports HDMI-CEC. You’ll need to know the name your TV’s manufacturer uses so you can hunt down and enable the disguised HDMI-CEC option on your TV. This option will be found in your TV’s menu, options, or settings. Use the TV remote to option kelly services the settings menu and look for the option. You may also want to look at your TV’s instruction manual or just try performing a web search for the model of your TV and “Enable kelly services HDMI-CEC.”
Some kelly services individual devices also don’t have HDMI-CEC enabled by default, so you may want to check each device’s settings. For example, HDMI-CEC is automatically enabled kelly services on the Chromecast, so this will “just work” as long as your TV has HDMI-CEC enabled.
On the PlayStation 4, it’s also disabled by default for some reason. We had to go into Settings > System and enable the “HDMI Device kelly services Link” option. You may need to look in a similar place on your device, or just perform a web search for the name of your device and “HDMI-CEC” to find out if the device supports HDMI-CEC and how to enable it if it’s not enabled by default.
HDMI-CEC is quite useful, although you may need to know about it and enable it yourself. Be sure to do this on any new TVs and devices you set up to save yourself some time and hassle, at least when switching between inputs.
More advanced features, like controlling attached devices with your TV’s remote control, may or may not work depending on how the TV manufacturer and device manufacturer implemented HDMI-CEC. Either way, the input-switching alone makes HDMI-CEC worth enabling.
I would like CEC if it worked better and was consistently implemented. It would be nice if it also carried raw IR data for devices, so I could use HDMI as an IR extension for a display
